Bad Rangie Interior

Post by searsy989 »

My GF cousin bought a Range Rover bout 2 months and since then the center console had start to move around a bit but just after coming back from a trip to Adelaide, all the center console area has become shocking. It all moves about heaps and is worried it'll fall apart.

Is this a common problem with rangies and how do you suggest he could fix it?

Think it's a 88 model cause it's got the 3.5L V8.

Yes, this is normal. I haven't seen onwe with a console that isn't broken. LR's idea of plastic is a joke :bad-words:

Best and cheapest option is build you own, should cost less than $100 including covering. You could also laquer it to match the door trims as well if it has them :D

Hey, you wouldn't be able to make one for my Rangie. I have an 89 model.

earlier consoles aren't bad - the one in mine is fine, because the box is made from wood or something else solid.... when they went injected, and changed to the short lever LT77, the consoles went to the flimsy plastic box ones....

For those who have built their own center console, can you kindly post a couple of pics of what it looks like so i can show him what he could do.
