hilux diffs on a 1Litre zook

Post by Tha Man!!! »

I was out driving today and I have just snaped my back axel I'm looking to put a new set of diffs on it.
Is it possible to put hilux diffs strait on with out hooking up stronger tail shafts?
At the moment i just have the shit house stock 1L sierra diffs.

Redrill the flanges and machine the pinion flange (or yoke on the shaft) and it should work

Just do it, when you put the V8 in you'll need the lux diffs :-)

just fit the diffs and modify the hilux tailshafts to suit. you will need to machine the pinion flanges and transfer flanges and then redrill them as Damo said.
oh sh#t, not more dents :D

Dont drive around on that broken axle for too long because it will load the bearing up, and if the bearing fails then your wheel will come off....not a nice thought....i broke one of my rear 1L axles 3 weeks ago and have since gone to widetrack diffs
