Transfer whine

My transfer case makes a high pitch whining sound with increased revs.
Only happens in low range.
Why is it so :?: :armsup: :armsup:

low range idler gear bearing or teeth rooted?

Check your oil level, or even drain it and see what color metal shavings come out.

Same thing used to happen in my 40 series. Pretty sure its the idler shaft bearing. Can't be sure though cause I just changed the whole unit.
