Shocks for a bundy

Post by MAMUTT »

Im about to do a 2" suspension lift on my bundera, but im not sure what shocks to use. The Ranchos are a bit pricey for what im after, and ive heard people have had problems with the series 2000's, does anyone have any suggestions on what is a good allround shock or which shocks to stick clear from.

If your bundy is coil sprung then its gas shocks...TJM.

If your bundy is leaf spring suggest use foam shocks...Tough Dog.

I put 41mm bore tough dogs in my bundy and they were awesome, as well as tough dog springs, very good setup for the price in my opinion, don't go anywhere near series 2000, I have had too many warranty claims on them

Thanks for those prices guys.
How high is the lift? is it 40mm, 50mm lift or a combination?

Does anyone have any comments on the OME setup? Good, bad or ugly?

I think you will find that all Bunderas (LJ70 & RJ70) have coils as it is only the SWB & MWB Landcruisers that have leafs. Not to mention different running gear and engines ;)

I was under the impression that all bunderas released in Australia had leaf springs and that those private imports had coil springs.

Bundymonkey is right bundera's are coils sprung & run hilux mechanicals.
SWB cruiser is leaf sprung & run 75 series mechanicals. bundera has one piece front guards. SWB cruiser has two piece front guards same 75 series.

Nah!
The bundera was only issued in Australia. In other parts of the world it is known as LJ70, or SWB Landcruiser. With all round coil springs. Theres a few others than LJ70.

Mate you are digging a hole like wenzle did on pirate :D

the secret is in the engine code, both RJ & LJ prefex's were ony in bundera's, the 7 in RJ70 tells us it is a military style body and 0 tells us it is a SWB
SWB 70's came with over half a dozen diferent engines, but bunderas only came L and R series engines.

While I won't swear to it I believe it was also sold in Saudi Arabia, I have bought some parts off a Arab 70 that had Bundera badging.
