When anything gets put onto our web site it goes through a few chanels.
Its a bit like chinese whispers and we are sorting it out ATM.
The site should have said (there has been events ) and I am sory if this has upset anyone.
It may be Ez too look at the fine print but all in all we are trying too boost the sport not just a Named event.
Oz Rock will have 6 rounds next year and the next weeks round also BUT all of our ads are promoting the sport not just OZ ROCK.
We are concentrating our efforts into advertising to get as many spectators as possible.
To date our advertising has been
1/ The vic 4x4 show where over 80,000 people saw our display of rock crawling where the promoters spent $75,000 on our display area and i spent a sisable amout on the display also (including 20,ooo fliers)
2/ handing 60,000 fliers out through 4x4 outlets throu out Vic and southern NSW.
3/ Ads put into papers and radio close to the event erea.
So far we have reached over an estimated 250,000 people advertising the rock crawling sport.
We also have 4 mags covering the Yea event and also TV. I am not just pushing OZ ROCK but the sport as I will be competing in the 06 WE ROCK series as I am unable to compete in OZ Rock.
I will get the wording changed ASAP on our web site. ;)
As with camping on site, There is camping on site for competitors and officials only. There is a camping ground that is 5 mins drive from the event and if anyone needs details about this give me a buzz 0418331867.

I hope too see you all on the weekend for a verry entertaining couple of days.
I hope to have the 06 dates up after this weekend. :D
onya mark, keep up the good work.

in 2 years time, un rego'ed events will be a dime a dozen and we can all go back to driving cars to and from work ;)

We will be staying at a mate's farm house just down the road... should get there tonight sometime if I can get my shitter together, be on-site in the morning ready to go...

Have been o/s since WE Rock, so have had zero time to get the Jeep back into shape... hard-wired the thermo fan last night so I have some cooling again, put some quick dodgey bracing on my caved in t'case skid, quick bit of rattle can red on the panel damage, haven't had time to sort the steering any better (still aerating)... think my alternator is on the way out but will hopefully last the weekend.

So, we are ready (kind of) to spank some VIC rock... at last!

Gunna be a great weekend!

yeah come on, someone make with the updates!!! :)

My money is on Shane and Zach to take it out!

Mind you i have never seen any of the others drive, but i think on home ground and backing up after a consistant drive at Werock, i think they will be hard to beat.

I can't beleive i am saying this but go the Jeep.

Well went there today with a mate.

There was some real good drives for the day and also some stupid pointless action that just broke stuff.

S3- Even though both heeps didnt complete the course they seemed to have the best skilled drive. Both nearly rolling on the drop off, but gave it heaps and straightend them out. Nice drive guys.
Only team to complete it from what we seen was the ABT team. They where running out of points though. Was surprised even with rear steer they hit cones. But made it through.
Rob was the first car through. and ran out of points on the 3nd obstacle.
Mock (in nams buggy), mate find some rocks to stack. Ended up being a beached whale.
The guys in mocks zook buggy, broke 2 CV's on the first obstacle. First was the drivers side due to a wedged wheel. 2nd was trying to back off the course I think.

Didnt watch much of S1, but think this is where the PGS thing rolled. Also Mock had a big go at the bonous line.

S2 had some carnage and some real good drives. This was by far the hardest course of the day. No one had driven it and Shane was first up. they ended up wedged in the middle. And geez those axles are strong. As trying to back out, it was compressing the front to the bump stops just on the torque twist on the drive shaft (this wouldnt have helpped the atlas problem that someone else mentioned).
Then Rod had a bash. Think he was getting abit heated in there. As his last couple of attacks where abit brutal and cracked the diff housing open. So that was them done.
Then team ABT. Well theres those CTMs again. Can they be killed. Tim(I think) after a good bit of stacking. Luanched the buggy and got into the middle of this death trap. Then procedded to make the tyres stick and managed to climb out of the wedge. But then had fuel or ignition issues and they timed out.

All teams we watched seemed to pick some good lines. But I think they need to think about where the other 3 wheels are trying to go some times.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
