Post by gqpete »

i got 2" lift and 285/75 16's. BFG All terrains. They just scrub on full lock on the road, but have had no dramas with scrubbing in the bush. I'm looking to upgrade to 16x9.5" and adding 30mm coil spacers (tight arse option, I know).

I've got 2" lift and also 285/75/16 Coopers (almost 33's) and they don't scrub at all (on factory GU alloys). I'm guessing 35's will cause some drama's. This is on the GUIII wagon.

You say 05 GU (so GUIV), so you'll have 17" rims. Your tyre selection is probably still a bit limited (although the tyre manufactures are slowly offering the size in a wider range) - Ryano will be able to tell you what is out there for that size. Unless you are going back to 16" rims, and then the choices are wide open.

Maybe keep your 17" for around town and get some agressive 16" for offroad?
