What offset bushes for lifted Bundera

Anyone else who has put 80# springs into a Bundy might be able to help me here. I need to buy a bush kit for my build-up and I have been told to get an offset kit. What degree of offset do you guys recommend?

Well it depends how high it is.. but i would say go 3 degrees. .thats as far as u can go wid the bushes..

I purchased an LJ70, almost a bundy. She was fitted with 80's springs and MT 32" tyres, with no offset. I Used her for a few months before changing the suspension. I had no problems. So have to ask why you need an offset?

I have absolutely no idea. I have just been told that if you go over 4 inches you *should* have an offset bush kit installed and since the original bushes are stuffed, I thought now is as good a time as any.

You need at least 3 degree and bushes I have are 3 degree $100 + $10 freight.
Castor plate are about $190 which are a bit better for a 4 inch lift plus, if that is what you have.
But I could be wrong because I am no expert on Bundera's.

Hey just a min or 2....installing 80's spring does not give you a 4" lift! More like 2". I am no expert about these offset bushes but for 2" lift with 80's spring I dont think its required. 4"..well thats really out of my league. I can tell that here, many have installed 80's springs and they have certainly not used offset bushes.
Think you need Dumbdunce advise...

One more thing...a 4" lift on a bundy..LJ70.. is getting a bit on the high side if you ask me. As you know too well they are inclined to topple over sometimes. Better research carefully if your really planning 4". I have a 2" lift with 1" blocks and I can nicely run offset 35" XTs.

Hmmm looks like I am getting conflicting information.

Okay, then. Why does the standard spring sit lower then the 80 spring? This is not installed into the vehicle.

That lift difference looks around the 3 in mark to me - even with a lower rear tyre pressure (it was leaking)

The 80 series springs do give between 3 and 4 inches of lift but I certainly would not go any higher. If you put a 2 inch body lift its basically at its limits

you havent metioned your intended tyre size, so we are only guessing as to your best course of action.

What size wheel and tyre,
what engine
what gears
and what do you intend to do with it?

Which is what is being done. 3 - 4 inch suspension lift. 2 inch body lift. 35inch tyres on a big-arse offset rim!

This is my street car, 88 RJ70 bog stock running gear (except diff ratio),
it has 35" muds on 15x10 rims, longer springs, stock shocks (street car remember ) no body lift, no worrys
