G’day All

What an event!!! Great action, courses, organization and atmosphere. We really enjoyed this event maybe the lead up was a lot more casual or because we were totally stoked about winning first time out as the ABT Team  . It was easy being a spectator for a change and the event had great sideline atmosphere and you Mexicans aren’t all that bad ;).

There were several cracker courses which definitely tested all competitors and it was awesome to see all competitors improve and gain in confidence throughout the weekend. I was impressed with how quickly Mark & Moose adapted to the cheezy buggy and Rob and Ken got my vote for being so entertaining  . I must thank Rob for helping us out with a new high pressure pump after our new one failed. Also thanks to the fella who gave us a new fire extinguisher.

It was disappointing that Shane and Zach in Firetruck took the Atlas past it’s limits but nothings unbreakable especially after what they put the truck through on the second last course on Saturday. That course was ugly and had carnage killer all over it and Shane hammered Firetruck on it, and when he loaded up in reverse several times I was more than shock something didnt grenade then. That said its interesting that the 2 trucks that got the furthest and didn’t break driveline components were running Atlas and CTM combos (Pip actually drove out of the course once the new pump went in after the electrical failure). Shane and Zach were at their best and were looking good for taking out the event so it’s a shame about the Atlas but hey the word is from the ABT camp is we will be seeing a new buggy soon ;) .

Well done Mark this was a great launch and a good preview of things to come. It was fantastic to see such passionate officials who showed a good balance of professionalism and sociability. It was great to meet so many sociable 4by crazed enthusiasts  .

I would like to congratulate Pip and Tim for driving to ABT’s first win. They were a bit green at the beginning but displayed skills beyond their experience. I reckon Pip and Tim proved quality components pay dividends. Our driveline, Procomp & Staun combo copped a thrashing at WeRock and came back for more this time round. Man CTMs are the shit they luv been hammered on and Pip luvs dishing it out especially on the carnage course where he had the pedal pegged and the limiter boucing.

Lastly thanks to all the ABT team members as it was and always will be a team effort.

Bring on the 2006 season,

Cheers Sean

bad_religion_au wrote:firetruck... nice drive... as much as i hate to admit it, i wanted to see the jeep take it (i can feel the 40 owners groan now). shame about the atlas. because you guys put on a great show

ABT boys... good job, champion buggy... cannot believe that was pip's first comp. shame about the fire... and the fuel pump, we wanted to see ya drive it. the ABT crew were mega friendly too, (we were the guys in the grey mazda that gave one of your crew a lift to the bottle shop saturday). cannot wait to see that thing, POS, Antunec, and Wendal's contraption go head to head. oh and those tires are BLING

dudes driving cheezy's buggy... HARDWIRE THE THERMO"S IN :)

mock... i'm sure nam's glad he wasnt' there...

rob... for the entertainment... shame they told ya off for the wheelspin on the bonus line today... i wanted to see how much you could shred those sparkly boggers.

and cheezy... why'd you discourage that pgs 40 from taking the line of doom on the last stage on the first day??? :D
Shit yeah I remember you guys I really appreciated the lift to get our case of crownies but you should have joined the party while we down our pizza and the crownies. You boys are dedicated spectators and its great to hear there are such passonate supporters of the sport out there

The rim, tyre and staun beadlocks are an awesome combination and are more than just there for looks. The Xterrains have proved to provide awesome traction and off camber stability. The Stauns add to the traction and stability by locking both sides for the tyre to the rim and they reduce the sidewall roll aswell.

Seeya at the next event, bring on the competition
