Post by crankycruiser »

Does anyone know if the swivel housings on the 79/80 series are the same?

I mean as in the bolt holes on the back of them where the seals go and the tube that goes into them??

I have been havin probs with mine sealing even after i replaced them and i have found this: http://www.gearingdynamics.com/cvboot.htm

I reckon it wil solve a lot of my prob..

just not sure if it wil bolt upto my hub....

Yes they are the same all the seals and parts that seal the swivel are identical (80, 78, 79 and 100 series) I have fitted 80 swivels, hub's, brakes etc to a 79 housing when fitting it to a Hilux and it had to be 6 stud hubs all went together no probs. The swivels may be different on the lugs were the caliper bolts on but otherwise they are the same.
