TD42 auto problem

Post by mabsydney »

I recently had an issue with the 'power' light flashing when I start the truck up. Apparently this is an error code and somebody posted intructions on the Patrol forum which enabled me to get the trouble code out of the auto.

The code I got was 'Revolution sensor shorted out or disconnected'

The light stopped flashing at me just after this and so I never got around to (read couldn't be bothered) to check the sensor and wiring. But now it has started again.

Everything seems to be working fine and aside from the flashing light I don't see any problems.

So my question is WHAT DOES THE REVOLUTION SENSOR DO (ASIDE FROM THE OBVIOUS), AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I JUST LEAVE IT?

Thanks people,

Martin
