Jumping out of 3rd

Post by MyGQ »

Ok here is a question for you guys

I have a 4.2L Petrol/LPG Patrol with the 5 Speed Manual

When decelerating and in 3rd gear, sometimes it will pop out of 3rd gear and go into Neutral. Only in 3rd Gear

Did a body lift to the car but i made sure that all the gears were right to go in.

If its something in the gearbox, what could it be? shifter fork?

And by popping out of 3rd i mean you can see the stick moving back towards neutral and then it just pops out. only when decelerating, not accelerating.

Ok decided i am going to have the Gearbox rebuilt.

Anyone know of a good place on or around the Central Coast, not worried about heading to Sydney or Newcastle area, just want to get a good job done for a good price.
