3FE Fuel Pump - died

Post by g35me »

I have a couple of questions, if anyone can answer them please.

Is the fuel pump connected to the sender unit below the rear seats? Can it be removed with the sender unit? Because I have heard that the fuel tank needs to come out to replace the fuel pump.

What is a sure fire way to determine if the fuel pump has indeed died?

Your model has a tendancy to do efi main relays...because the wiring is too small for it....
To get the fuel pump out u dont take the tank out but open the cover on top....
To test it you need a pressure gauge for the efi fuel manifold and a service book.....short out fp to b+ and it if no pressure, check fuse, then power at pump b4 changing.
Usually a shit pump will blow fuses....if not check out www.lcool.org tech pages for fix on efi relay.Andrew
