Spotter needed for WE Rock series 2006

Post by Daisy »

The time has come for me to take the competition to the next level.

For those who do not know my buggy.. it is located in the below link
http://www.offroadimages.com.au/events/ ... m=7&page=1

The buggy will be upgraded with front and rear dana 60's before the first round of WE Rock. I believe that this buggy will be as capable and competitive as any out there.

I now need a spotter who is able to commit himself to spot for me in the following dates as well as a few practice sessions in between. If our team makes it to the top of the competition ladder, then we'll also have the trip to America after the WE Rock finals at Milbrodale.

Round 1 - 11/12 March - Rover Park
Round 2 - 15/16 April - Bathurst
Round 3 - 27/28 May - Landcruiser Park
Round 4 - 1/2 July - SORRA (same place as Nissan trials)
Finals - 12/13 August - Milbrodale

I'd prefer the spotter to live around the Brisbane/Gold Coast area to make things easier on the competition and practice session arrangements.

I am looking for a person that enjoys playing as a team. I am looking for a person that will be there to help check the buggy in the morning and won't leave until the buggy is tied down on the trailer in the evening...it is a big commitment as this is not just a hobby for me.

The spotter needs to have a supportive better half (or none at all) as relationship problems can arise with you being away for this type of thing.

Now, most of you may or may not know... I am hearing impaired, so communication is going to play a big part of this. This is not something that I believe will make us less competitive but it is something that we will have to really work on. If you have watched any of the werock competiitons that I competed in, you'd know the sort of communication that is needed.

There is also the Put up or Shut up Shootout which i have a backup spotter that im plannin to use, so if anyone feels that they are up to the job, then we can have a bit of a practice session at Haultech before this event. If it looks like it will work out we can jump straight in at Put Up or Shut Up.

So this should be alot of fun for anybody that is keen but I really want to take this all the way to the US next year.

Please PM me or email me if you think you're the right person for the spotters position.

Regards
TOM

I might be driving next year if i build a car to compete in as i sold my old two seater. If not i might help Tom out at PUOSO but we will see how things go from there i guess.

As of next year my F'iance will be competeing in Tuff Tracks and some other events in and around Queensland so maybe for me to compete in Werock and the all terrain at Landcruiser Park and in Mandy's Events will cost a lot of money so maybe i might lay off with the rockcrawling this year as there is a lot of competitors now in Werock Australia.

Sorry mate - I wish I could help out again but looks like I'll be driving full time again for 2006. Good luck with the search.

If you find someone who you're willing to work with but need some practice, I'm sure Greg and myself could find some time to come out with the both of you and lend a hand.

If you do do some practise runs tom then give me a call as it would be beneficial to get some seat time for myself
