TB45e has eaten is second set of brushes in a few months .. only gets started 3 or 4 times a day, battery has no real issues.
Any ideas ??

While looking at the commutator, check if the com bars are uneven in colour, ie 1 bright copper then the next dark and burnt - this will indicate a short in the windings. The short will cause the brushes to burn more on rotation. Easier to see on a ventilated motor, as you can see the comms and brushes creating a complete halo around the comm when the motor is running, impossible on a starter motor though - totally enclosed frame.
