motor swap

Post by 40 lover »

I have a BJ42, the 3b has problems, looking for a new motor.

What other motors would fit in without much work needed.

would a 2H work?

Different intput shaft on the gearbox - the only bolt in is another of the 'B' series.
To fit an 'H' or 'F' series you'll need to change you box (or at least replace some bits)

i saw the bandag bullet break the truck drag racing record in townsville a few years ago!!!! Man that thing can go for a diesel (twin v8 each v8 has a supercharger and twin turbo's and a nitros oxide boost as well)

The 2H would give you little additional power, but you have to change the geabox input shaft and bellhousing, you have to move the exhaust and fuel line to the opposite side and you will need a new radiator. A 14B or 14BT from a Dyna would be the best IMO.
