Hardcore Prado Accesories???
Anyone know where you get stuff for prados? I know a guy who thinks his prado is actually a 4wd and as such destroyed the factory skid plates first time out. He is looking for a supplier or manufacturer of aftermarket skidplates to replace the flimsy factory items. Any ideas?

try getting in touch with Michael ellem at http://www.offroadimages.com.au as he had a fairly well built Prado.
Ransom note = demand + collage
they have similar suspension to the TUNDRA in the USA... Start searching for Tundra goodies...
Shedguy (Darren) has one now, and is working on it, same as Steve roly (www.offroader.com.au).> They make a lovely couple.

If it was me :-
- ditch the rear swaybar, longer rear coils with matching longer travel shocks. It's a 5 link rear so will get decent flex with the right shocks.
-longer front coils, 3" is available.
-fit the biggest muddies possible.
-front and rear ARB lockers are available for it.
-custom bashplates and sliders and of course a bullbar.
Then pray you don't bust a front crownwheel like so many others have done.....................

I just luv my "clacker Jabber"
I don't think he's that serious If he were - I doubt he'd have bought it in the first place. Will still make some "recommendations" to him though!

Stick like a hilux or 80series front diff under it
then it will be weapon
nobody has picked up on it yet... DAMN
you know what?
the t-case is on the wrong side for any toyota solid axle to fit in
BAHAHAHAHAA
We all know the Hardcore part of a Prado is the 17" rims... you too can get these HardCore 17's in the forsale section CHEAP
Well I know of 3 quite new tdi's in my club (I have a video of one) and god knows how many 4 Runners and IFS HiLux's (same diff). Happened to one in the Pajero Challenge.
My mate has done 2 crownwheels in his V6 4 Runner not doing anything really dumb. When I saw the crownwheel I couldn't believe how small they are and how thin the gear cut is. This is the problem shockloading the crownwheel by breaking a CV and stripping teeth. The constant 4x4 of the Prado would only make it worse. Also have a scan through Trail Talk and check it out. There's defintely a problem there when used hard.
I also posted on Overlander forum about it.
I think Surfection broke one or two in his 4 Runner before he went SAS.
I know the new Prado has gone up to a 8" crownwheel (up from 7.5") and 30mm diameter axles with bigger CV's, they should be ok now, doesn't that tell you something............
