rear diff noise

rear diff noise

Its 84 lux. The noise only occurs when letting the clutch out goin up throught he gears. I can eliminate it with lettin the clutch out at different speeds. Nop noise gearing down. All the uni's are new aswell as center bearing, i checked them again and no movement from them. Hasnt affected performance and stills drives fine
any help??

how hard are these to access and replace, also wat price am i expecting to pay for these?

if it is R/P It takes about 1/2hr to pull the rear centre out to have a look for movement and for a cheap fix you can replace the front centre with the rear or you can take it to a diff place and get it spaced with new bearings or get another from a wrecker.

Have you checked the oil level??

Is it only when under load, i.e accelerating or all the time??

is it like a tinging sort of noise similar to what u would get if u tap the tube section of the rear shaft with a screw driver, mine makes a similar noise when i dont have a good amount of grease in the nipple that greases the splines between the 2 sections of the shaft... just try greasing everything....
