heading west... (again).

Post by tufferoza »

hi guy's, just wanted to let you know that i am heading back to WA from Bundy Qld. to live and work in the mines again.
this time it looks like i am taking the feroza on the trip instead of the Mr2 as i may have to tow my dads boat over for him. (gulp).

i will be in convoy with a huge blue and purple Denning motorhome the folks have bought, so if you see me on the road (taking most of the coast road back across i think) flash ya lights, give me the finger or what ever, but say hi anyways.

anyways, i might put some pics of the motorhome etc up later, and hope to maybe see some of you on the road (or off... ).

here we are heading on our 1st leg from Bundy to Brissie. my 6 x 4 was so heavy the poor lil feroza had a bit of trouble keeping up with the bus.

and a couple of the bus with mums vitara and the boat on the trailer, we are thinking of maybe putting the Mr2 up where the boat is.

we are in Sydney at the moment. i went for a drive today into the city in the feroza and had a good look around, checked out the cross while i was in there. :P
the feroza is pulling the boat ok (apart from when i get to a hill), it would be much easier if the boat wasnt loaded up full of shite!!

:D I imagine you wouldn't want to brake in a hurry either! (Or has it got electric brakes fitted?)

They don't do too badly towing considering the vehicle weight/ aerodynamics and lack of engine power.

indeed they do tow rather well considering weight and engine size (the turbo kit i am making would of been great for this trip). :)
what slows me down other than hills is the bloody head winds i've had most of the way!! with no head wind i can cruise on 100 comfortably.

i got to Adelaide yesterday arvo (well just outta Mt Barker where i am staying with Mr2 friends). i left the folks and the bus in Bendigo, will have to meet them in Streaky Bay next week sometime.

well we arrived in Esperance ~6pm last night. the feroza did a damn good job of towing the bloody boat across. it's good to be back in my hometown again, but sad to see how ill my nanna is now.

hopefully get myself a underfround mining job after x-mas and start making some decent $$$ again.

G'day mate,
wish I had have seen this thread earlier in the month as I was in Adelaide, staying in the Hills for two weeks at Stirling, not far from Mt Barker at all!

(BTW it's Luke here, Clint (from Bundy's lil Bro) ;)

Good to hear the Roza did well for you on the long haul...
