I got a couple of tow hooks for christmas and cannot decide where to mount them. I checked out a couple of other threads on mounting them but I don't really want to chop into body mounts like christover did. I looked how the front bar is mounted, a bracket bolted to the foremost part of the chassis. I drew up a little pic to show how I was thinking of mounting it, I am not sure if this will be strong enough though. Hence the thread.
Bolt one will go through the original bar bracket. With bolt two it by a bit of ass the bolt will be able to go through the peice of steel. It is a bit between the top and bottom bars of the tube bar for a bit of strength. If I do it like this it was be easy to access and won't take much to do.
Any thoughts or ideas on strength etc are appreciated.

lol wow thats a bad photo!! i have no idea what your pointing at..
I'll get a pic of mine.. i have 1 on both sides depending on which side u have underground lol
Since this photo the bullbar has been lifted 2-3" so it just in that spot in the chasiss, a triangle has been cut out of it so it fits around the body mount tube bit so thats not weakened, also an idea is to have a tube sleave in the middle so u don't crush your chassis ends like me, i would do that if i was to put them on again.
