Anyone interested in an online Feroza owner's manual??

I'm trying to gauge the interest in putting online the factory owner's manual. My Feroza was missing the books when I bought it and Daihatsu no longer publish them no matter how much you would be willing to pay.

So, I've borrowed an original F300/310 Australian Owner's manual and was contemplating scanning it all in (PDF format hopefully) and posting it on the web. So who would be interested?

That's gonna take a long time to scan all them pages !!!

I have one, so it doesn't matter much to me, but I think it would be a great idea to have available on the web.

Maybe when Andy gets www.feroza.com up and running, he might post it for you on his site.

Don't need the workshop manual either, got a nice printed version here that I bought off Mike a while back

Dont need one either, sorry. Ferwoaza's workshop manual is another story though, even if it was just the pages that are missing from the online copy.

Would be very good if it is as said the full manual and covered everything (not just the engine).

Hmmmmm.... maybe we should all contribute a towards the purchase of one and start our own Australian distribution point (if you get what I mean

)

OK the manual on CD is 15 pounds including delivery to Australia (around $38). It supposedly includes everything from rebuilding the gearbox down to putting the stickers on the bodywork.

The guy who has it for sale appears to be the webmaster of the site, so it shouldn't be a dodgey deal.

OK. I've just ordered the manual on CD.

I'm also getting the Aussie Rocky manual included too. If anyone is interested PM me and I'll see how much interest there is and come to some arrangement splitting the costs.

Did likewise a week ago. My manual arrived yesterday on CD. Looks good - approx 1260 jpgs of all the sections in the Rocky F70-F75-F77 range.
I am going to do a rough comparison of it to the pinted version and then let everyone know the verdict, but on first take it looks good.

Yep, the Rocky one. Not for the Feroza.

I had to go to Sydney about a week ago and have been out of contact since I ordered it.

From what I can see it is complete 1246 files at a total size of 149.7 MB. Each file is a jpg of each page.

It will be interesting to see what format the Feroza one is in. I heard somewhere else it is in Word format, but the guy selling it was saying he will be doing them in PDF from now. PDF makes more sense.

Follow the link below. It will cost you 15 pounds UK including postage. I have not had time to fully evaluate it but it looks good although it does lack clarity.
I will probably post the one I got somewhere but at 150 MB it will not be for some time yet

Hang on for a bit then until mine arrives- I'm looking at splitting the costs between however many people want a copy in Australia. So far only one other person has expressed interest- but I'm looking at $50 divided by the number of people (plus postage etc).

Hmmmmmm..... was working last night!

Will have to work out what's wrong tonight- can't do much about it at the moment. It's only the manual that comes in the glove box- I get the impression some people on WARFs are expecting a workshop manual! :lol:

(Speaking of which I'm beginning to wonder if the one on CD I ordered is going to turn up... :roll:

If you didn't get one with your Feroza (like me) it's very useful. Details all the servicing intervals, basic maintenance, how to take the roof off.. etc..etc- would have saved me asking a few stupid questions over the last 7 months! :oops:

It's for sale on Ebay overseas- so there must be a call for it....

Found the problem too: must have gone over my 10MB limit on my website (got one set up for my other car too) and the ISP kindly deleted it last night for me. Am uploading it again now.

Anyone think of a reason why I can't upload a .zip file to my ISP?

It goes through all the motions, but doesn't appear in my FTP program's directory list after finishing? I don't appear to be over my storage limit.

Thanks David for the owners manual download. Mine didnt come with 1 when i got it..ive downloaded it and printed it all out. That must have taken ages to scan..I owe you one

Yes it took a little bit of time......

One page (10-6) from memory is stuffed though.... If anyone has a manual and wants to scan it in as a largish .jpeg and forward it onto me I would be grateful.

I can then convert it to a pdf and fix it all up.
