Will a lsd diff from the back end of a 60 series sahara fit into the casing on the back end of a 1993 80 series

It will as long as you use the 60 series carrier bearings but i ask why all 80's had lsd's in them and are virtually the same as the 60 series the only difference being the carrier bearing diameter.

Because the present one in the 80 has done about half a million kays and the one in my 60 was rebuilt about 3000km ago.
