What is the most common mechanical problem encountered when 4wding in the bush (normal trial, not outback desert track)? Snap CV ? As I always go to Gembrook and High country area alone, I have never come across any mechanical prob but sooner or later I may.

E.g. For a Diesel GQ 93 (350000km) with Front ARB Locker, 2-3 inches susp lift, 33 muddies, snorkel, warn (other thing keep standard)
Would it be capable and reliable enough to trackle tracks around Vic ?

I would like to share some experience from you so that I can prepare the worst......thx

IMO if you are going to go driving alone then you really need all the recovery gear you can get including a big front mount winch and a hand winch and everything else that goes with them.

For spares you need to carry front CVs and axles (and spindles maybe??)and be capable of changing them in the bush.

You will brake other things so carry a mobile phone and UHF for when you are really in the shiat.

Well I can only reply from a Jeep perspective but:

#1 Tie Rods (as seen at last years TTC where no less than 4 failed)...I've just upgraded to a flex rod to fix this problem.
#2 TPS (Throttle position Sensor) very prone to mud/water damage and will be a drive like a pig - but at least it's not going to fully stop you....I've ruined 4 so far....
#3 Transfer case Output shaft - Without a SYE, the stock shaft is prone to breaking - especially if you have a lift, bigger tyres and wheel hard....It's NOT the sort of thing you carry a spare of and if it breaks you'll need to be able to seal the transfer case, refill with ATF remove the rear driveshaft and driveout in front wheel drive - I had this halfway along Menai.....what a pig.....
#4 Alternator mud ingress....(only once for me so far over 6years).
#5 Driveshaft uni's - simple fix....I've done 3.
#6 Axle Unis usually where locked and running big tyres (>35") or a lack of maintenance...I haven't had one fail yet...

for the nissan, trailing arms, rear panhard rod, engine mount, CV, tie rod [the one at the rear of the front diff, you can straighten the one in the front ], steering stabiliser.

i did the front diff and a cv a few weekends ago, also if you going to be breaking stuff like diffs and cv's carry grease, diff oil, same gasket goop, and lots of towels and cloth, also rubbish bags for all your dirty broken shit
