fuel tank replacement
fuel tank replacement
Hey all,
How hard is it to replace the fuel tank in a NT drover. Any links or info would be great.
This zook is almost getting a mid life rebuild at this rate. LOL
Anybody got a cheap one they could send me for minimal $$ ?. (don't mind slight dent or a long ranger. pic would be good)
I am in Perth...
cheers

I've just bought a fuel tank out of a Vitara with EFI.
I believe the tank is 55 litres. It was 300 dollars.
Note: you can't just bolt it straight in though - which i would suspect that Long Ranger / Big Balls Offroad tank would do.
Have you considered a jerry can?
I've got a 10L one, cost about 23 bucks, and you can get a 20L one for about 30 - 40 dollars. Sounds a bit cheaper - especially if you are only going to need to carry a lot of fuel rarely (i.e. how often are you going to need 107L of fuel - i.e. when are you going to be driving 1070km's between petrol stations?)

Definately - but you will need to do something about your gearing (i.e. rockhoppers / diff gears). And it may take some work to get them to fit.
I'm running a 34" tyre, which was being turned with a 1.3L, Rockhopper 3 gears and finally the addition of some 5.12 diff gears.
You're in melbourne right? You should come along to a Suzuki Club meeting - you'll see lots of cars there that are running that sort of tyre size - and get a good idea about what changes you will need to do in order to make it work.
