New larger on line Feroza manual

Post by murcod »

A new manual (270Mb) has been posted here for Ferozas:
http://appakov.narod.ru/feroza.html

Unfortunately it's in German, but at least all the pics will be useful. I've started trying to download it- but keep on getting timeout errors. :bad-words:

Besty, hows the broadband looking? :D

Hello Rick, I managed to get the first four parts last night. The download speed was between 0.4-1.5kb/sec...... It's going to take a long time!

I tried it at work yesterday (broad band) and had trouble getting the file info at the start of the download- often waiting up to five minutes and getting timeouts. But once I selected where to save the file I was getting up to 150kb/sec and downloading each section very quickly.

Besty have you tried?? Currently at home I'm getting a dismal 0.1-0.5kb/sec, but no timeouts at least.

Hi Murcod,
If you have downloaded it can you try to put a copy on our side of the net, or maybe even on the list if it's possible or allowed? Anyone out there know if it can be translated, babble fish or the like, I had a look for a "pdf plug in" but no luck.
regards

I haven't downloaded much at all so far (32meg of 270). I would do it at work, but the internet usage is closely monitored, plus I was having trouble even there getting the downloads to initialise. Once I could get them started it was very quick.

I'm going to keep at it, it's just going to take a while. I figure it will be useful even if it's in German. The pics will be useful and they still use numbers the same as us- so torque figures etc will be OK.

I just tried a download of the first file (928K) and downloaded it at 900K /sec.
Yes, I am lucky enough to have cable.

Once you got it you just can't go backwards.

If you want some help downloading maybe I can start at the last file and work backwards.
Just let me know if you want some assistance.

Show off!

You should go into business selling copies  I take it you'd have a burner if you've got cable?

I've got the last 15 or so files from the end, and about the first 18. Am downloading four at a time right now, all at 0.3kb/sec, at least it doesn't slow down internet browsing at the same time.....

Yes,
Best thing I ever did was getting cable. You gotta get your priorities right.

Like I said if you need help just let me know.

just to rub it in - fastest download speed I have got so far is 1.9Meg/ sec.
Basically my download speed is usually determined by the server at the other end, and my computer usage is determined by my kids not using it.

Still no luck with the downloads.
It looks as though the server locks me out. I start off downloading fine, get about 25% done, and then the site start rejecting me. I pleased to hear that some of you are getting it.

So is it worth the effort?

Is it the full manual (body, suspension, interior etc)?

I take it that you DON'T have a limit on your downloads ??

No, TPG $17 odd per month unlimited time and downloads - 4hr session limits are the only downer (plus of course the 56k dial up  )

In about half an hour I'll have it all downloaded.

Fingers crossed it works as my download program stuffed up at one stage and was saving the files under the wrong numbers. :bad-words:

:D OK I've got it. It's very comprehensive- makes me tempted to buy that English one for 15 pounds....
