60 Series 12HT Engine Bay

Post by D_Web »

Just wondering if anyone has some photos of 12HT 60's engine bay, I am just curious as to how much room there is under there.

I assume that it's possible to mount a second battery opposite the first one same as in the 80's?

the import cruisers (24v) come with 12HT and dual batteries

one mounted either side of the radiator.

you can use the same battery tray on either side of the vehicle, the holes should even be there already with the captive nuts. (they are on my 89 HJ60)

all petrol sixtys came with battery tray on left (passenger) side, all diesels on right side. Both diesel and petrol have the wholes drilled for the trays on both side, so if you have a diesel and want a dual battery just buy a petrol tray from wreckers it bolts staright in , and visa versa for you petrol owners.
