a mate of mine has a 91 model v6 paj and wants 2 know if anyone makes a dual battery tray that he can buy or does anyone have dual batteries setup in there paj's that can post some pix and/or info ???

Yes Hypo, I have a dual battery set up.
Main battery is a Exide Extreme and 2nd battery is a Bosch truck battery which is semi cycling (able to be flattened and recharged numerous times but not as good as a proper deep cycle unit).
The control unit is a Piranha module which also has a cabin indicator to check the charge of each battery (very handy). It charges the main battery first then the 2nd one.
The battery tray for the 2nd battery is also sold by Piranha (about $120 from memory). The 2nd battery is positioned against the passenger side firewall (behind the main battery) on the 3.0 V6 but the carbon cannister is relocated to the driver side guard. This couldn't be done on mine as the ARB compressor for the locker is there. My cannister was tack welded to the main battery tray clamp, it seems to be holding up ok but I have to sort out a better mounting set up for it as it will eventually break off.
Also I had the rear accessory socket hardwired with a 30A fuse directly to the 2nd battery and the other two sockets had the fusible links (directly behind them) bridged out so they can only pop a fuse in the main box (much easier to change). The winch is wired straight to the main battery.
It all seems to work real well, cost was from memory $120 battery tray, $120 2nd battery, $280 Piranha control module + battery charge indicator, $150 fitting (which included the extra wiring).
The Jabber is in getting a new clutch so I can't take any pics of the set up but heaps of em running around with pretty much the same set up.

my setup is basically the same as franks except that i made my own tray out of 3mm steel. pretty simple to do. they mount on top of the inner guard and onto a lip on the firewall. Then you just get some vacuum hose and mount the cannister behind the airbox to the inner guard with self tappers or bolts if you can be bothered taking the plastic inner guard off. Pretty easy stuff. I use the exide extreme batteries as well, they good cause they come with 2 year warranty. I got a drawing of the tray somewhere i think if you want i can send it to you.
