Re: Roadies?
why not fix it up properly?the_trol wrote:hey all,
I was wondering if any one knows of somewhere in the western part of Melb to get a roadie down at a good price and who is a bit more tolerant of old 4wd's.
Thanks Troll
Roadies
Don't come North and ask for a roadie; it involves something with i bigger head than a beer and it naggs when it has to swallow. At least mine doesn't though
Kind Regards,

I got my rangie done last year, had to find someone who wasnt going to unecessarily pick the crap out of every little unimportant thing. You cant scrimp on the safety items though like brakes/ suspension/ fuel or oil leaks if bad/ windscreen etc. got it done for less than $100 in parts - not bad for a 20 year old car.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.
jeez it can't be too bad, the thing will only owe you $2200. This aint bad for a 4b with a rwc.the_trol wrote:i wish i had the cash to fix it properly but i bought it for $1000 and spent close to anthoer $1000 just trying to make it roadworthy and it still needs another couple of hundred spent on it and the cash supply has run real short and the need for a second vehicle is desperate.
BTW i think dodgy rodies are an urban myth. Heard about them, but never actually come across one. Spend the $$$, not like its a huge amount. If it is to you, fark have you picked te wrong sport.
