what OME shx to use for my lifted MK

Post by Mintoy »

hi guys. i need your help in choosing my shox for my mk. I lifted my patrol up 5 inches so my orginal ome shx won't do. the length of the safari and GU shox are just perfect. so which do you think will give a softer ride. the OME for safari or for the GU. thanks

Use rancho 9012's or 5012's they are a good long shock and cheap. Some blokes on here recon they are crap but mine have been in for 2 years now and havn't had a problem. You will have to make up shock mounts and hoops though

im using ome springs which at one time started to sag so i had them bend again adding more lift + extended shackles. its been a few months now and i guess the springs have setteld in. both safari and GU shox of OME can be used. i just not sure with one will give a softer ride. i find the ride of rd5000 a bit too hard and the rd6000 are way too much for my budget.
