oil gallery flush

Post by rockcrawler31 »

as part of my quest to properly do the job on putting a low mileage donk in my truck, i'd like to have the oil system and galleries properly flushed of gel and buildup. I tried searching for a post i saw a few months back regarding a mob in brisbane who power flush the oil system professionally, but i cant find it.

anyone know who/where they are?

One of our drilling rigs was leaking diesel into the sump for a while, and didn't seem to do it any damage, but i'm not sure i'd trust that idea. even at low rpm and no load i'm sure that the loss of lubrication would be detrimental.

otherwise i can try doing a couple of extra oil changes within 5000k interval. would this be just as effective?

Short of this.. you could try Wynn's Engine Oil Flush and even do it a couple of times.. should clean most of the gunk out of it.

I have used an oil flush in my rangie before ( they tend to gunk up in the heads) and was suprised how much crap came out, do it just before you are due to change the oil so you dont waste it - cant remeber what brand i used maybe nulon ?

Yeh I always use before an oil change and loads of crap comes out... You pour it in and run for 30 mins or so... it makes the oil come out like water! :D And all the junk with it
