pulled the carby off to do a rebuild today due to leaky seals and noticed that the butterfly for the auto choke had been taken out (the cars on gas so I assume that's the reason)
Am i able to pull off the rest of the auto choke crap too... ie the vacum diaphram and linkages from what i can see and sus out the throttle doesnt rely on this being there? for no reason other than to simplify the carb a lil

gq auto choke
if ya got dual fuel then start it on petrol then switch to gasshakes wrote:its dual fuel. and from my basic understanding of gas... chokes do more bad than good when cold starting on gas( I'm guessing thats the reason the butterfly was removed)
if someone could shed a bit more light on this for me that'd be great!

do the same when u get home , run it on petrol down ya street before ya switch it off.
gas dries all the seals out pretty quik, the fuel will help keep them wet and lasting longer

just a little left of insanity :)
