diffs 1.0 litre Sierra Sammy

Post by christover1 »

Can any body tell me if the front and rear diffs on a one litre zook(sammy)are fully interchangeable. my rear has serious issues around the area of probable pinion gear and/or seal. I have a spare front diff(but it is welded up), are the splines the same, are the pumpkin bolt patterns the same. If not, can I make it fit by reusing my side gears? Will do the job proper when money is healthier. And can pinion bearing and seal be replaced with diff still on car??.christover.

I'm not sure on this one cris but , i don't remember them having different bolt paterns front rear , I think the only difference is simaler prob with the bigger 1.3 centeres , just the side gear issue, Easy to check front rear spline difference if you have spare axle front rear .

On this piont I heard somwhere that the center from the 1 ltr handy van , and table top fit these 1ltr housings and run a different ratio just a rumour but.
