Mounting tow hooks #2

Post by Zookified »

Will it be alright to cut or dill the body mount where it is welded to the chassis. I only need to cut a rectangle out about 20x20 and then the hook will go in through the hole. I will drill the chassis then and use the bolt for the other hole that is keeping the front bar on.

What I need to know is will this be to dodgy to cut and make it weak as piss? Will it be safe enough to do so? Pic attatched.

just cut it and if ppl tell you its dodgy ask them to sugest where to put them next time cos without a chassie exention thers crap all to put recovery points on the front of a zook. Just make sure you put crush tubes inside the chassie.

Just do it dude, it only supports the front clip anyway and I personally don't feel cutting it will make it anyless safe.
