Basically the same as the 16v Vit for kW and Nm give or take a couple as even the Vit motors varied slightly over the years. The 16v Vit extractors will fit as the head is the same.

71Kw
133Nm.

They have a much lighter flywheel, so if the vit one is used they are much better in low range ( don't stall as easily)

They also have coilpack ignition, which can be relocated further from the motor ( in a waterproof box is where mine are going)

16V vit extractors DO fit, but much like the GTI conversion and its dizzy clearance issues at the firewall; the Baleno engine dumps the water out the back of the heads through the thermostat housing, which unfortunately requires mods to either the firewall, or the thermostat housing.

you will also need to run a vit sump and pickup.

Otherwise, its the same motor :D

Not 100% with the layout, but would it be possible to put a welsh plug or blank off the rear outlet and use a fwd one? Assuming the heads are all cast the same and the only difference is where they have opened up the head for the thermostat, an inspection of the head may show an alternative outlet on the front that could be used.

For the thermostat housing i used a 90 deg one i think its of a swift it has the same bolt hole centres and fabricated a 316 pipe down the left side of the engine bay.
I got the top radiator tank mdified so as the hose fits on the left
I used the seirra sump and pickup but had to machine a bush to adapt the pickup cos they are different diameters.also had to drill and tap a different main bearing cap to mount the pickup.
i used the seirra fly wheel and clutch.
NOW I NEED A SOMEONE TO WIRE UP THE ECU COS I AINT GOT A CLUE HOW TO THAT I HAVE A BELENO ECU AND HARNES I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE TO SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE IT BEFORE TO KEEP LABOUR COSTS DOWN
