My KNZ-130 surf has a Auto box behind the 1kz-te.
Its a 3speed with lock up torque converter for over drive.

Just to clarify, you can put an A343F behind a 1KZ-TE but there are other bits you will need as well for the electronics If you have a manual at the moment.
The A343F is a 3speed + overdrive with lock up touqe convertor witch locks up at about 85kph
It is a standard transmission behind the 1KZ-TE in a Surf also in the 2LT,2TLll and the 2LT-E Surfs also some Landcrusier and other Hilux models as well as some Pissins um Nissins use this transmission
There are other transmissions you could use just need the correct adapter plate.
As has been asked bfore what vehicle are you thinking of putting it into.

Boysurfer, unless you have a modified convertor to have a manual lockup the button is to engage or disengage overdrive, The convertor will lock and unlock automatically.

Lockup will occer in top above I think approx 95kph when overdrive not selected and approx 85kph when overdrive selected.

I know that it locks up automatically, but i will only lockup when you have selected overdrive and you are up to cruising speed (bout 85km/h).
If you turn overdrive off it will not lock up which is what you should do when towing or going up steep hills because the lockup clutch is not designed to take heavy torque loads!
