I assume that it is the main belt and just not a fan belt?
If it is you need an 18mm (i think) spanner and put it on the nut on the front of the idler tensioner thingy.
Push or pull it across and up to the drivers side of the engine bay and it will allow you to get the belt off.
Its a job you may need an extra set of hands for if its the first time you have done it, and take a good note of which way the belt runs around everything.

Cheers and good luck with it

I suggest a digital photo would be handy

Position the spanner so it goes in line with the pivot point of the idler arm, that way you'll find it easier to tension the spring force. You may what to use a large racket to get enough leverage. If you ever have to remove this idler, say stuffed bearing, be aware it's a left hand thread. It's not marked on the bolt anywhere like a normal left hand thread, I snap part of the housing off and had to spend $50 on one from the wrecker.

Spend $30 on the gregorys manual. I has a diagram in it, plus anything else you will need to know futher down the track.

its a self tensioner setup. it will be 15mm spanner. Put on the top idler puller and move it anti-clockwise. Will bring the arm down and remove the belt. Easy as that.

As said... a digaram is a must. I spent an hour trying to work out mine with no manual.

Not that its much help for a conversion but it is actually in the commo glove box guide.

Nice one Taz...

The idler you need is the little black pulley between the power steering pulley and the alternator... then the belt goes spastic round all the pulleys

Worst thing is the one belt.. my belt snapped and you lose everything basically... I was nearly home, coming down the hill near my place... and it was fun limpin home with no power steering.. almost didnt make the take into my place
