Patrol & Landcruiser tyres/wheels

Post by Nina »

Hi, hoping someone can help me out with a question - are Toyota Landcruiser wheels/tyres interchangeable with Nissan Patrol ones? I always thought they were but I've just been told "the centre of the rim needs to be slightly larger to fit a Patrol to a Toyota. While a rim off a GQ Patrol will fit a Toyota , the rim off a Toyota won't fit the Patrol.." Thanks in advance for any further info/clarification on this.

which model? and yes they are different offset, but some fir ok, also depends on what year 80s due to larger brakes etc some require a 16" rim but can grind the calipers to fit 15" with the right offset
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!

that's right Nina. the centre hole needs to be larger to fit over the centre of the Patrol's FRONT hub. nothing to do with offset. Sunraysia rims fit both (ie made with the larger hole only), but alloys normally specify Patrol fitment - no idea why they don't just make them all with the larger hole?

I have bought 2 sets of Landcruiser alloys for my Patrol over the years, one set I notched the front wheels to clear the hubs - the other set was machined by Wheel Revolution at Slacks Creek. I think it was like $100 or $120 for the set of 4. cheap and easy. I got all 4 done so I could rotate the tyres.
