warn high mount

Post by gut42 »

Recently bought a warn highmount winch second hand from a freind, he said it was a 24 volt but you cant really tell. Does anybody know who services/modifies these winches for competition use on Brisbanes northside? Also would it be better to change it back to 12volt?

i would run 6hp 12v faster than normal 24v. unless you want to run a 24v alt and have 3 batteries (1 for everything else or 2 and a mq regulator) too hard to do nicely otherwise. I will be running 12v and I haven't bought mine just yet.

I run 12v 6HP with 24 volts up its bum and it really hauls . Heard that motors dont last that long but there cheap enough. And mines still going.
If i was goning to run 3 batteries i wouldnt concider anything else, just need to fit an other 24v alt.
