35" Simex on 5" lift will they fit?
i am looking at getting some 35x11.5 simex ET2's and i have a GQ patrol LWB with 3" spring and 2" body just wondering if they will fit and how bad the truck will go only being a 4.2 diesel pushing them up hill's

i have 7" and 35s and occasianally mine rub at the front of the rear tyres and the inside of the wheel arch on the rear but only on extreme articulation!! it should be fine, the diesel does drive fine with the tyres but it lacks a heap of power going up hills or at top end, but im not sure if thats just the engine or the tyres affecting it. I cant wait to fit my turbo put it that way!!

My GQ how is your braking now with the 35"MyGQ wrote:In terms of clearance, you will get it in easy, i have 2" suspension and 2" body and mine only just rub.
as for diesel engine, dunno, i have a TB42 under mine and it pushes them easy enough
and to keep on topic i have 2" body and 2" sus with coil spacers and i rub the rear of the rear wheel arch but only just.

Braking is not as good with the 35's as apposed to my 33 road tyres.
I though need a new master Cylinder though for my brakes i think, as they aren't 100% even with 33's
That said i can pull the car up pretty quick, it holds when on steep hills and stops if needed, so no worries there.

I had 3.5" springs 2" body and cleared 37"s yes they rubbed when it articulated but even 31's rub during articulation on up travel againts the inner gaurd .....
Gearing wise it will handle it be a bit more slugish , lowrange wont be too bad although transfer ratios would be greatly appreciated spend the money on transfer gearing .........then instead of going ratios in diff ....put a turbo on the sucker

x2 on the turbo, with the turbo you can cruise at good speed at lowish rpm on the hwy with 35s and 4.1sA1MAV wrote:InSanE wrote:i am looking at getting some 35x11.5 simex ET2's and i have a GQ patrol LWB with 3" spring and 2" body just wondering if they will fit and how bad the truck will go only being a 4.2 diesel pushing them up hill's
