Wagon cutdown
Hay all
I have searched the arcives and only found info on single cab ute convertions.
So i am keen to do a duel cab chop on my 97 GQ wagon and was considering it myself as a fella i had lined up to do it seems to have fell off the face of the earth. Anyone know exactly what is involved or know of a place in brizzy that can do it and perhaps prices? That is anyone except creative convertions as there price was just shy of funny
Cheers Jamie H

Simo here (remember I got the 4.4 motor from you a few months back?). There is a guy up the Sunshine Coast called Marty who has done most of the GQ ute conversions up this way. Single cab and Dual Cabs. He runs a panel shop called Image Body Works at Bli Bli.
Not sure how much he charges but give him a call and tell him Craig told you and he should look after you.
Cheers
Simo
there ar a copuple of us doing this to our shortys as we speak, we are making our own back panels as the arnt too hard to make,, the only difference is ones you buy have pressed ribs for strength, instead of this we are using 40x40SHS as a sub frame to strengthen the rear wall,
we have spent less than $200 on all the steel for sub frame and rear wall,
