Where to get series 1?

Post by derelict_frog »

Hi all, im after series one gearing for my zook and was wondering what was the best/cheapest place to get it?

They all seem to be $1100 in australia, i email trail tuff about theres like a week ago and they never got back to me and i cant find an email for rocky road. They should be 200+ cheaper in USA than australia after shipping and all so getting one from overseas would be awesome.

So any other places to go or proper contact email where they will reply?

And where have peopel got theres from overseas?

Thanks for any replies!!!!!!!!!!

4.16 calmini's when converted to aus dollar are only $602. I cant see shipping being over $100 so that would be way cheaper.

Has anybody ordered gears over from the us? Much cheaper?

You can get them from ABT and M&M for $1095 Calmini gears.

Not sure how heavy these are but i just sent a package via airfreight to the US that weighed 14.5KG and this cost me $235-00aus.Was going to be $179-00aus via the slow boat. And i didnt have to pay the import taxes that come with importing either.

I got a freight quote from Calmini of $165 US but that was including the heavy duty transfer case mount as well (which is a fair chunk of steel).
So I would guess at around a hundred would be prety close.

I was just on the Trail Tough website and they have 4.9 Rockmonsters cheap. I am ordering EZ Lockers if you are interested we could split the freight cost. My missus wont let me get the gears. PM me soon as I am keen to get the order in for my Lockers before she changes her mind. BTW that is $630 for the gears in $Aus+Freight+GST. Can't beat that. It would cost about $20 or so for me to send them to you in TAS.
Be quick I am ringing first thing tomorrow morning and will get a price for the lot.

Good luck with the lockers!

1 Locker and Mini Spool on the way. Now I need to know how to fit the damn things. I figured after reading all the threads on lockers that the best way was to go the spool for simplicity and predictability on the road.
Anyone in Brisbane that can be bribed to show a real novice how to fit a Lockright into the front of a zook. I expect to have a full workshop available.
