Ok I'm looking for 10 mud tyre's and 6 sunny rims. The tyre's will be 31"and 235's 5 a piece. With the sunny rims for a Vitara 5 stud with 3 1/2" offset.

mate ryano at fourbys is the only man to trust with your hard earned. I used to think he was a tyre god, truth is that he is a lot more than that. Got my air lockers and new compressor (air activation system) off him last week. seems ther is nothing he cannot track down for me!

If you are after baja claws mickey thompsom has price fixed and told there dealers if sold any cheaper they will remove there dealership just like they did to arctic cool treads.

Certainly is illegal for the manufacturer to set limits on pricing, this is PRICE FIXING, and if it is the case the ACCC should be contacted.

Mind you retailers tell us this crap so they don't have to give a discount, someone tried this when I bought my Waeco so I bought off someone else.

Anyway back on topic, Fourbys sound the way to go pretty central as well.

AFAIK Arctic have never been a Mickey T dealer. I think the Mickey T's are pretty cheap for the quality of the tyre. I haven't heard of a dealer losing access to Mickey for selling them cheap. The distributors aren't like that. It's usually because they aren't supporting the product or aren't taking the time to learn about it. You will generally find that if you go and talk to a Mickey Dealer, they know the tyres inside and out and are very up to date about the product. Makes me feel a lot more comfortable that there are informed dealers out there.

Brad's good. He is an avid 4wdriver. Knows his stuff for sure.
Fourbys and Tyreworks Slacks Creek are owned by the same person.
You won't go wrong visiting either shop... you will get experienced 4wd people who want you to be happy with your purchases.

I was reffering to the fact that i went to mickey thompsom dealers and they all said they were not able to discount as they have to stick to dealer book price.
As said by someone else the dealer may have said that because he did not WANT to discount ,after buying three sets of tyres one set only 10
months ago i thought a discount was possible . I am too lazy to change tyres all the time between work and play it is why i stick with baja radials i do over 50'000 km a year so i go through a few tyres.
I would think that each dealer would be able to be a little competitive with another dealer. BTW $358 IS A QUOTE PER TYRE X 4 being for 305/70 16's which i got from each of the dealers i visited.. strange really what ever happened to competition ? A liitle non competitive behavior here i think
