hey guys, thinking of converting my auto vitara to manual, will i have to change the diff ratio or are the manuals the same as auto?

what model auto and why would you want to convert?

yeah your right i dont wanna swap, its a 94 model with the electronic 4 speed i think, i think its shagged stuck in first!

would rather a auto but cant seem to find one for a decent price

I doubt the auto is at fault, sounds more like an electronic fault, a sensor, wiring or something similar.
But I don't know a lot about them.
Checked it out by an auto expert yet?

The 1.6 4speed auto and the 5 speed manual both have 5.125 diffs.

Not positive but I thought autos had 4.6 gears cause thats what i got them out of for my zook.

4.62's were in the 3 speed autio 1.6 8v
