Hahaha, U suck dewse :finger: :finger: :D

Matt buy the cheapest zuk u can find, we can cut the gards to fitt 33s (dont need flex) and buy a 6 or 8000lb winch with dual motors, run 2 big batteries in the back and 2 commodore alts on the engine.
U will be in the bottom class (only mod is tyres) and the twin motor winch that is full of plasma rope (should be able to get twice as much plasma as aposed to steel cable on the drum) will give u whip lash as it drags the little stock zuk up any hill u want. Its a sure winner the way the comp is set up at the moment.

i agree with you jeep97tj . The classing is ridiculous. the first 2 classes are basically exactly the same, aftermarket or not aftermarket traction aids whats the difference. Traction control or factory lockers or air lockers. Buggys should be a seperate class as they are the majority of the time across aus. Then there needs to be a class that anything goes ie lockers, engine mods, suspension, bead locks etc with tyre limit ofa tyre 36.5in standard across aus. This would basically be OBC style cars.
1) up to 33in trye max 3 inch lift may have traction aids
2) OBC style cars (rules and regs as per OBC
3) Buggys

What do you think.

I think alan has to stop trying to re-invent the wheel and just follow the eastern state rules, they have been there done that and now have a system that works.
Im to lazy to run my own comp so will take what ever i can get, hang on my buggy isnt regoed so im out
Maybe thoses people that dont like it or think they can do better may go out and start something, maybe / hopefully this is just the begining.

Guys just run with it better to have a comp than bitching that pisses of the orginizer so he says stuff it and dosent run a comp at all .If people are dinkum get together and run a comp get your club to organise it and run it there are places to use that would be excellent .If i had the skills and no how id run the first full on rock crawling comp in a private property that we use,if a club wants a go ill tell you were it is with in 20 minutes drive of Perth cbd

I agree with you jeep97tj. Why re-invent the wheel. There is absolutely no logic in doing this when people over east have been through it before. :!: :!: :?

If you go to the busy bee and help out, there is a chance that the event organizers will open it for a drive...

what is the busy bee then.? I think my idea is better, few 4wds pay $10 each to enter the park and have fun. It's a win win situation. Oldgold agrees also

As yet the park isnt open to the public and Alan has an agreement with the owners that only 4x4 clubs can go up and then they must be acompanied by someone from the night owl 4x4 club its to stop the place getting wrecked and i suppose Alan wants the place sort of to him self for who gose were

i am a keen memeber of OL and so is oldgold and other memebrs from OL he knows. Nothing would get wrecked.

Can you ask if we can organise a OL day at the park.?

Why is it ? You still have to have insurance if you are in a club or not, why does it make you a better person for being in a club

"my sh!tty backyard 4x4 park"

park rules :

1) only 1 4x4 at a time
2) drive in ...... then reverse out

You dont have to be a member of Night Owl 4x4 club to compete in any of the comps this years but you do have to be a member of a club i believe affiliated with the 4x4 association. If your not a member of the a club you can become a member of Night Owl for $50.

As for the property being a full on park Idont no whats going on as I have only met the owners once but I could see it openning up as a proper park were you would pay your money and go and drive .At the momment its private property that is only open to realy 4x4 clubs with a person that Alan would send along with them so as to over see were they go and what they do as the owners work away and arnt at the property all the time.

Im hopeing even with all the bitching going on about rules and how the comp shuold be run that the WA 4x4 people will get behind the comps and come along and compete and spectate as if it fails this year or there is to much crap happening then maybe the people organising the comps will say stuff it and just give up .We have got to keep things happening to get the comp seen going forward to get bigger and better then maybe other people will run comps we can only hope.

duncan your right everyone who wants a comp. in wa realy has to get behind it and support what ever disission made if they can do better let them put their money where there mouth is as for feed back and constructive comments i'm sure alan is open to comments but for the time been he's running it as he see fit. running a comp is by no means easy there are a lot legal crap to think about ie. some dick has an accident then wont take responiblty and trys to sue the organizer for it . so guys stop bitchin and just support what s happening here keep up the good work duncan by keeping us all informed about whats going on and to aland for putting this thing together

I agree, we should all get behind this. It may not be the most ideal rules. But the choice in WA is limited. This compition can be improved in the future.

At least Alan is having a go and trying to get a comp up and running. I don't see anyone else trying.

So let's get behind it and hopefully it will be the start of better thing to come.

Chris.
