Maximum size tyres for a stock Pathy is 31x10.5R15.
If he looks on his tyre stamp it should have that size on there anyways so they are legal to have as well.
He can lift and inch or so easy enough...slightly taller springs in the back and wind up the torsion bars on the front to compensate.
If he wants to got to 32s he will need three inch lift. 33s need 6 inch lift.
I would suggest a body lift if he doesn't do too much wheelin. The reason I say this is when you go a suspension lift it stuffs around with the steering and you tend to bend tie rods and idler arms easy. Although if he stick with 31s he won't have a problem.
You can get snorkels for the D21 series diesel navara. As long as the air intake for the 2.4L is on the same side I see no reason why that snorkel wouldn't fit your mates truck. I have the navara snorkel on my terrano. ARB said it wouldn't fit but I told them to do it anyway and surprise surprise it fits perfectly

As said before, 31's on a 7" wheel will fit with no problem. Get some new coils for the rear and crank the t-bars to get about 2" of lift and he can run 235/85-16 on a 6-7" wheel with some minor trimming in the front. The best you could do for the steering is throw it as far as you could and replace it with the Calmini steering. The Calmini steering is bullet proof. I race my '89 V6 with this setup, no probs.

The "key" Calmini gear is only able to fit L/H drive cars. eg. Idler arm brace and drag link etc.Offroad-Events wrote:As said before, 31's on a 7" wheel will fit with no problem. Best throw the front end out and put in a live axle.
