Howdy,
I've noticed that rotating the front wheels, by hand (obviously jacked), is bloody hard. The first time I noticed it was a while ago while I was replacing the front wheel bearings. I thought as time went by the brakes would loosen up and release the pressure. They haven't. It feels like someone has their foot on the brake pedal. I wouldn't be overly worried about it but the fact that it hasn't gone away is causing me some conerns.
I haven't fitted new pads to it nor have I done anything to the disc. They aren't rusty at all and I'm at a loss as to what it could be. I've greased the main and sub pins in the calipers and still no luck.
Is there anything that could be causing this? I don't know what could be causing the brake system to hold pressure?
Gurus?.............

Is that what you mean? If not, let me know so I can sort it while the front end's in the air. I have the eye pins and bushes for my front leaf packs on order and should be here soon.
My hand is still healing! Bloody leaf retainers!!
you mean the wheel bearing lock nuts?? When I did them I had a mate with me and he said to do them up a little over finger tight. From memory. Does this sound right?.... id say your wheel bearings are way too tight...

to test it, unbolt your caliper ( 2 x 22 or 24mm bolts ) and take it off, see if wheel spins nice, then you know if its brakes or not...
if its your calipers then they are seezed or just tight and need some driving....
screwy

Just took the front wheels and calipers off. The wheels spin freely so my calipers need a service.
Is this the sort of thing you can do yourself or is it best left to a pro? Does anyone know of a mob in Sydney that would come up the the Blue Mountains (Winmalee) to sort this for me or is there anyone here that would for beer?
I can't take it anywhere at the moment as the spring packs are out of the front, it's not registered and, apparently, my brakes ned a service
Cheers
