I believe they are as rare as rocky horse pebbles.

I got 2 some time ago and wanted to buy 2 more to fit to my 80 series - couldn't find any second hand anywhere so I rang Toyota thinking if they're cheap enough I'll buy 2 newies - $1,000 each, so I quickly changed my mind...not sure whether to keep the 2 I have or sell them.

if they are 15", they are off the early 80 series sahara. most of these end up looking very white rather than chrome.

if they are 16X8 star type shape, dishing outwards at the edges, these are the 40th anniversary type.. very rare and good looking..

Make me an offer if you want them. Want to get rid of all 4 though.

Here's a closer look.

This is the 80 series 40th aniversary factory wheel. 16X8

the others are a copy, note the missing centre stripe in the copies.

They are still a good copy, but yeah they look more like the 100 series factory alloys.

The picture of the 40th rims posted are right but don't be mistaken, Toyota did produce mags that look the same as the 40th's but without the black hollowed out stripe in the spoke. The other rims were a 16inch as well and released on the Rugby/Blue marlins. To tell if originals, look for Toyota cast in the rims.
Note that 100series are 5stud, no 6stud as well.
I got a set of 40th's from a place called Toyotowreck in Melbourne a while back and they did have another set of the Rugby mags there then so maybe give them a call??
