When hooking it up check to make sure you get the right ignition wire, I fell into the trap of using one which I thought was ignition but it was for the glow plugs so once the glowplug timer switched off so did my turbo timer. I ended up taking it to the local auto electrician and $20 later all done.

What brand timer is it? Mine is a BES older style, it had 7 wires  but 3 were earth, constant 12v and ignition, the other 4 were for controlling other things after the ignition is off. I can have a look tonight which ingition wire we spliced into if you want.

its a jap one,
fully automatic etc etc,
brand is FET
Model TB-306

also it has an ebrake wire, for turning the car off ,incase some scum bag trys to drive it, while the timers on.(this one doesnt need to be connected to work.)

yer that would be great mate ,
if you could have a look for me,

red wire under dash is for glow plug power..
just unsure...

the black is earth
the blue will most likely go to ignition wire on lux a test lamp will find this.
the yellow i think to the hand brake wire switch thing (which turns on the light in the dash) which may be your problem. ways of fixing this
1)try earthin out the yellow wire with everything else hooked up and see if thats your problem..If so leave like that or put it on your handbrake switch.
2)listen to someone smarter cause i have no idea!
