Mitsi towbar on an F-300?

Post by camfairweather »

Hello,

I've noticed that a few Pajeros round town have towbars that just bolt on to the "U" shackel plate (I'm making this name up as I don't know what it's actually called - but it's the place where the U shaped towing loop is bolted to the plate at the back of the vehicle).

Does anyone know if the standard Mitsi ones will fit the shakel plate for a Daihatsu?

This sort of thing...

They seem to be more readily available 2nd hand in NZ.

Yep, IIRC the Pajero towbar should bolt straight on.

Make sure you get one that doesn't hang down so far though, or you'll be scraping your rrrr's every time you go over a kerb.

I looked into this before... and the the Rocky.. a replacement gooseneck part that bolts onto the towbar plate was $150

That pajaero one looks similar.. just measure them bolt holes and see if they line up with your holes on your Fez. Yeh, and get one a bit less droopy then that one

Some places list the same part number for the Pajero - it should fit.
