Diff ratio depends from production year, engine, market and heavy or light duty model.
In my Patrol MK160 Hardtop (March1986, atmospheric SD33 engine, 5-gear transmission, European market, light duty model) diff ratio used to be 4.375. Now it is 4.875 .
I assume the Patrol you ask is the same and has diff ratio 4.375
Any way I can check this from the outside, except the method of turning the diff and counting the revolutions. (I looking for the 4.8 ones....) (they are probably fit in the long heavy duty ones??......)

Hello Bowy,
According the specification from "Nissan Patrol 160 Workshop Manual" (publication date – 1982) only Pick-ups for Middle East with engine L28 was equipped with diffs 4.875.
I am sure that same diffs was installed on all Patrols (short and long) with gas engine 2.4 litre manufactured in Iran. Production period is unknown to me, but my 4.8 diffs was taken away from Iranian short Patrol 1993.
