Military Wrapped Springs?

Post by TLCOR »

OK, out of curiosity - do all leaf-sprung LR’s have military-wrapped springs? My 1984 Stage 1 do, at all four corners. Thanks.

Are your stage 1's the same as out stage 1's? Also what are military wrapped springs?

Millitary wraped springs have the 2nd leaf wrap around the 1st one at one end. It captures the 1st leaf and reduces the spring wrap.

They are a saftey backup incase the first spring brakes. Dont think they would do much to control spring wrap.
